I was curious about Ahava’s cruelty free status so I reached out to them for more information. (Spoiler alert: They are not cruelty free)
Ahava does not test on animals unless “required by law” means that they sell in mainland China where they comply with mandatory animal testing. And no, China is not to blame for this because Ahava executives made a conscious decision to value their wallets over the lives of innocent animals. Nobody is forcing Ahava to sell in China, it’s very much their own greedy decision.
The answer here is clear: Ahava is NOT cruelty free.
