Is Sukin really cruelty free?

Is Sukin really cruelty free?

For the longest time, I’ve known Sukin to be a cruelty free brand. They made my favorite vegan facial moisturizer that I could always find on sale at TJ Maxx. Until recently, I didn’t realize that they did not have any cruelty free certifications so I started questioning their animal testing policies. Luckily, their response reassured me that they are still an ethical company I can support.

Hello!
I’m the founder of Ethical Bunny, a blog that features cruelty free brands, product reviews and recommendations. Animal rights are immensely important to me and I believe in supporting companies who share the same values. I am interested in listing Sukin on my cruelty free brand list, but I had a couple questions.

1) Are any of your products or ingredients tested on animals?
2) Do you have a Leaping Bunny, CCF or PETA certification?
3) Does your company sell products in mainland China (except Hong Kong)?
4) Do your suppliers or any third parties test on animals on your behalf?
5) Are you owned by a parent company that tests on animals?

Please get back to me at your earliest convenience and thank you for your time.

Here is their response:

Sukin is an affordable, drugstore, cheap Australian skincare brand for consumers with all skin types on a budget. Our emails prove that they are indeed cruelty free. | Ethical Bunny's cruelty free and vegan skincare, makeup, haircare, hygiene, bath and body guide. Feauturing indie, clean, green, sustainable, non toxic, organic, botanical and natural products.

Based on this email, I have concluded that Sukin is, in fact, cruelty free and it has been added to our database of cruelty free brands. Their products may also be featured in our shopping guides. If you would like to check out their products, click here.
