Is Soo’AE (and other DK Cosmetics brands) cruelty free?

In conducting research to create my cruelty free k-beauty guide, I came across Soo’AE and reached out to them to inquire about their product testing policies. Here is my email correspondence with them…

I’ve reached a conclusion that it’s safe to say that they are cruelty free. They do not sell in China, which is where most companies test on animals, and they do not appear to conduct animal testing at any other stage in the process of developing their products. Although they don’t have a cruelty free certification, that is not uncommon (especially for foreign brands). Furthermore, other brands owned by DK Cosmetics – L.O.C.K., Hip Chic and Botanic Bouquet are also cruelty free, although none of them are completely vegan.
