Is Not Your Mother’s cruelty free?

In order to ensure that a brand is completely cruelty free, doesn’t test on animals at any point during the production of their products, I reach out to them through email. Here is my email exchange with Not Your Mother’s…

Good morning,

I’m Svetlana, the founder of Ethical Bunny – a website that features cruelty free brands and advocates for animal rights. Recently a follower of mine inquired about the cruelty free status of Not Your Mother’s so I wanted to reach out to you directly. Would you mind answering a couple questions?

  1. Are your finished products or individual ingredients tested on animals?
  2. Do you have a Leaping Bunny, CCF or PETA certification?
  3. Do you ensure that your suppliers (and any third parties involved in production) do not test on animals?
  4. Are your products sold in any retail locations in mainland China where animal testing is required by law?
  5. Additionally, are any of your products completely vegan?

Please get back to me at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your time!

Here is their response:

Not Your Mother's is pursuing a peta certification. Way To Grow, Plump For Joy, Love For Hue, Kinky Moves, Clean Break and Beach Babe dry shampoos are not tested on animals. | Cruelty free and vegan bath, body, makeup, skincare, haircare and beauty guide by ethical bunny.

I have concluded that Not Your Mother’s is, in fact, cruelty free and it has been added to our database of cruelty free brands. Their products may also be featured in our shopping guides. If you have any further questions or would like to check out their products, visit their website.
