Is Duet Beauty cruelty free?

In order to ensure that a brand is completely cruelty free, doesn’t test on animals at any point during the production of their products, I reach out to them via email. Here is my email exchange with Duet Beauty…

Hi Francesca,

Thank you for much for reaching out! Absolutely. I am fixing a few glitches on my new website but it should be done within the next week or so. I would love to include Duet Beauty on my website, I just need a brief statement from you confirming the answers to these questions:

  1. Do you test your finished products or individual ingredients on animals?
  2. Do you have any certifications like PETA, Leaping Bunny or CCF? (not necessary at all, just useful to know)
  3. Are your products sold in retail locations in mainland China? (excluding Hong Kong)
  4. Do your suppliers or any third parties conduct animal testing on your behalf?
  5. Are you owned by a parent company that conducts animal testing?
  6. Are all, or any, of your products vegan (contain no animal by-products) in addition to being cruelty free?

*By responding to this email you are agreeing to have your statement screenshotted and posted on the website.

Thank you,

Svetlana Mikhaylova

Here is their response:

Duet Beauty is not PETA or Leaping Bunny certified but here is our email correspondence. | Ethical Bunny's cruelty free and vegan brand list with skincare, makeup, haircare, hygiene, bath and body guides. Feauturing indie, clean, green, sustainable, non toxic, organic, botanical and natural products.

I have concluded that Duet Beauty is, in fact, cruelty free and it has been added to our database of cruelty free brands. Their products may also be featured in our shopping guides. If you have any further questions or would like to check out their products, visit their website.
