Is Beauty Tofu cruelty free?

In order to ensure that a brand is completely cruelty free, doesn’t test on animals at any point during the production of their products, I reach out to them through email. Here is my email exchange with Beauty Tofu…

Hey!

This is Svetlana from Ethical Bunny. Just writing to confirm a few details about Beauty Tofu so I can list it on my cruelty free brand database –

  1. Are your finished products or individual ingredients tested on animals?
  2. Do you have a Leaping Bunny, PETA or CCF certification?
  3. Do you ensure that your suppliers (and any third parties involved in production) do not test on animals?
  4. Are your products available in retail stores in mainland China (outside of Hong Kong)?
  5. Lastly, are any or all of your products vegan in addition to being cruelty free?

Get back to me at your earliest convenience. Your response will be screenshotted and added to the website as a resource for my audience to rely on. Every brand listed in the database gets an annual check up so you will be asked these same questions again a year after Beauty Tofu is listed in our database to ensure that your policies remain the same. Thank you!!

Here is their response:

Beauty Tofu is a brand from New Zealand that does not test on animals. | Ethical Bunny's cruelty free and vegan brand list with skincare, makeup, haircare, hygiene, bath and body guides. Featuring indie, clean, green, sustainable, non toxic, organic, botanical and natural products.

I have concluded that Beauty Tofu is, in fact, cruelty free and it has been added to our database of cruelty free brands. Their products may also be featured in our shopping guides. If you have any further questions or would like to check out their products, visit their website.
